Dear Sisters,

On June 05, 1999 I added a new son to my family. I didn't even have to go through morning sickness, labor, or delivery to have him! I am delighted to welcome Franklin Steve Hall (he goes by Steve) to my family, as a son-in-law by marriage to our daughter Jennifer Joy.

This issue is all about the wedding, with lots of pictures. I was hoping to include details of the costs of the wedding, but we ran out of space. Jennifer has written this up for me; I will try to squeeze it into the next issue.

Do you sometimes feel like Satan is trying to discourage you in your mothering? I know that he does me. He gets me focused on dirty kitchen floors, overflowing diaper pails, and the mending pile, making me feel like I am failing as a housewife. Pray for protection from Satan's wrong priorities, and ask God to show you His priorities for your work for Him in your home. The earth and all it contains will one day be burned up; your children's souls will last forever.

But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one, ...
And may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the steadfastness of Christ.
