Dear Sisters,

I have received many encouraging notes, cards, and letters from subscribers these past several months. I feel bad that I am unable to respond personally, even briefly, to each one who writes me. Trying to keep up with nine children, home school, and a homestead does keep me hopping, as I am sure you understand. But I do want you to know how much Gerald and I appreciate the letters we receive from subscribers and other readers. We read each one ourselves (we employ no "handlers"). We enjoy getting to know other Christian families in this way. I also keep a file of frequently asked questions so I can deal with them in the Dear Helen column, even if I am unable to respond with a personal letter immediately. If you feel an urge to write, please do so---I'd love to hear from you!

Well, the cold winds of winter have started to blow across the Illinois prairie. This is my favorite time of year to snuggle up in a warm blanket and read some good books to the children. Now you make sure you make time in your busy schedule to do the same! Have a wonderful holiday season surrounded by your precious loved ones.

Blessings,

Helen E. Aardsma
