Dear Sisters,

I'm counting the seconds 'til spring! It has been a long, snowy, cold winter here on the prairie. The children are itching to get outside to run in the grass in bare feet, and to ride their bikes up and down our gravel roadway. And I'm eager to get into my perennials bed. With February almost gone, it won't be long now!

Jim Golden is the office manager with Aardsma Research & Publishing, the parent company which publishes The Mother's Companion. He processes all of your orders. Jim started with us part time early last year. He has now joined us full time. It is wonderful to have both Jim and Mark in the office full time. This frees up both Gerald's and my time to apply ourselves even more to the work God has called us to; Gerald to his biblical chronology research , and me to pursue the love of my life---taking care of my family.

One of the things which Mark and Jim have brought about is the ability to take credit card phone orders, including renewals. The toll free number for this purpose is 1-866-787-7881. Now I need to point out that this number won't reach me. It is most likely to be answered by Jim, or possibly by Mark. But they have been instructed by Gerald not to forward calls to me. I am not in hiding, of course. To be perfectly honest, I would love to visit with you by phone. But, with thousands of readers, I cannot give way to this desire. I am "on duty" with my family, just as I am admonishing other women to be with their families. And I cannot fulfill my duty while talking on the phone all day. Please feel free to continue to write to me for prayer and counsel. I love to hear from you and do prayerfully consider each letter.

I find waiting difficult. Do you? Waiting for that house addition to be finished, waiting for the salvation of that lost family member, waiting for those fresh yummy strawberries, waiting for that disease to be cured in that loved one, waiting for revival in our country, even just waiting for some especial family event to begin---waiting can be discouraging at times. But how wonderful the truth that God is in charge of this universe, and we can count on Him to bring everything about according to His good plan, in His good time, as we wait on Him.

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thy heart: ...

(Psalm 27:14a, KJV)

Blessings,

Helen E. Aardsma
